A few thoughts I shared on Twitter 4/24/10

My tweets were inspired by 1 John 2:15-17 and in those verses we are warned to not love the world. For some reason the Lord wanted me to tweet those thoughts that came out of reading those verses. I hope they help you in some way. Let 1 John 2:15-17 speak to you:
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
Here are my tweets:
Unceasingly looking at ones self in the mirror reveals an issue of Vanity -> “Excessive pride in one’s appearance; conceit.” 1 John 2:15-17
1 John 2:16 “For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes” The next tweet is a good vow for men to take. Vow for Men: Psalm 101:2-3 “I will walk in my house with a blameless [guilt-free] heart. I will set before my eyes no vile thing [porn].”
The World = illusions, traps & death 1 John 2:17 “The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” “The World” means the system. This system, masterminded by Satan, is set up for you to fail & lead you blindly to Hell. His weapons are: Illusions, fantasy, lust, pride, programming, media, music & technology. Pay attention to what your being force-fed. Do you want to be free from the system? Then you must have UNDERSTANDING & know the TRUTH! So, here it is:
1 John 5:18-21
We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
